Benjamin Bratt
Benjamin George Bratt (born December 16, 1963 in San Francisco , California ) is an American actor .
Life
Benjamin Bratt was born the son of a Peruvian Indian. He attended Lowell High School in San Francisco and then the University of California at Santa Barbara. He began his acting studies at the American Conservatory Theater . He became famous for his role as Paco Aguilar in Blood in Blood out from 1993. He then played the role of Detective Reynaldo Curtis in the crime series Law & Order from 1995 to 1999 .
In 2000 he was first seen on the side of Rupert Everett and Madonna in the generally considered flop film A Friend to Fall in Love with. Another role followed in the film about an expedition to Mars in Red Planet . He then gained greater fame alongside Sandra Bullock in Miss Undercover and above all through his portrayal of Juan Obregón in the widely acclaimed film Traffic - the power of the cartel .
Bratt was dating actress Julia Roberts from 1998 to 2001 . In April 2002 he married actress and model Talisa Soto . In December 2002 they became parents of a daughter and in 2005 they became parents of a son. In 2004 he was seen alongside Halle Berry in Catwoman in the cinema. From 2005 to 2006 he starred as Major Jim Tisnewski in the NBC series E-Ring - Military Minds . From 2011 to 2013 he starred as Jake Reilly on the Private Practice series .
