Dankner is a pop duo consisting of the Basel siblings Tanja and Phil Dankner. In 1995 the singer Tanja Dankner and her keyboard playing brother Phil Dankner won the Prix ​​Walo under the name Soul Affair .

Tanja Dankner was born on July 23, 1974 in Basel . She sang on albums by DJ BoBo , Celine Dion , Michael von der Heide , Martin Schenkel and DJ Dani König , among others . The band was founded under the name Soul Affair. Under this name Tanja and Phil Dankner released their first album in 1995 which was called "Relations". It wasn't until 2000 that they changed their band name to Dankner.

Phil Dankner was born on October 23, 1970 in Basel . Phil Dankner has been playing the piano since he was four . As a stage partner of Marco Rima's comedy shows "Think Positiv" & "No Limits", he is an integral part of these two shows. Phil composed various titles for the film Handyman and played himself in them. As the founder and musical director of the “Music Session”, he has been inviting guests from the Swiss music scene and international guests since 1999. With DJ BoBo 's Visions Tour, Phil Dankner traveled all over Europe as musical director and keyboard player in 2003. Phil produced and composed his own soundtrack for Salto Natale's “Circomania” (2006) program. Together with Salomè Jantz and Roland Herrmann, he presents the offline show every month.
