Taras Konoshchenko

Taras Konoshchenko ( Ukrainian Тарас Конощенко / Taras Konoschtschenko ; * before 1975 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian opera singer with a bass voice .

Life

Konoshchenko began his training in the subjects of piano, choir conducting as well as opera and concert singing at music academies in the Ukraine and then continued at the Munich Music Academy and as a member of the “Young Ensemble” of the Bavarian State Opera .

In 1994 he made his German debut under Colin Davis as Sarastro in a concert performance of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte in Munich's Prinzregententheater . He won prizes in several singing competitions; Since then he has given numerous concerts in Europe and North and South America.

From 1998 to 2003 Konoshchenko was a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera, where he performed Colline ( La Bohème ), Masetto ( Don Giovanni ), Il Re ( Aida ), Lodovico ( Otello ), Angelotti ( Tosca ), Nettuno ( Il ritorno d'Ulisse) in patria ) and Zuniga ( Carmen ) sang. From 2005 to 2008 he was Padre Guardiano ( La Forza del Destino ), Leporello (Don Giovanni) , Raimondo ( Lucia di Lammermoor ), Rocheford ( Anna Bolena ) , Ferrando ( Il Trovatore ), Bartolo ( Le nozze di Figaro ) at the Mannheim National Theater ), Angelotti (Tosca) , Fafner ( Das Rheingold ) and Fiesco ( Simone Boccanegra ) .

Since autumn 2008 he has been working as a freelance artist. In the 2009/2010 season he sang the matchmaker Kezal in the opera The Bartered Bride at the Städtebundtheater Hof . In November 2010 he appeared as Alidoro in Rossini's opera La Cenerentola at the Potsdam Winter Opera with the Potsdam Chamber Academy .

His career has taken him to many opera houses, including the Ukrainian National Opera in Kiev, the Bregenz Theater, the Bonn Opera , the Deutsche Oper Berlin , the Volksoper Vienna , the Theater Royal de la Monnaie (Brussels), the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau , the Festspielhaus Baden- Baden , the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), the Stuttgart State Theater , the Opéra de Toulon , the Dortmund Theater, Hanover State Theater. He sang concerts with the Munich Philharmonic , the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in Tel-Aviv and Haifa, the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin and with the Bamberg Symphony at the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He worked with conductors such as Wolfgang Sawallisch , Zubin Mehta , James Levine , Kent Nagano , Fabio Luisi and Marcello Viotti .

His repertoire includes more than 80 roles, including Zaccaria (Nabucco), Ramfis (Aida), Banco ( Macbeth ), Fiesco ( Simone Boccanegra ), Basilio ( Il barbiere di Siviglia ), Rodolfo ( La sonnambula ), Pimen ( Boris Godunow ) , Prince Gremin ( Eugene Onegin ) and Konschak ( Prince Igor ).
