Tarea Pampa is a town in the Chuquisaca department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
location
Tarea Pampa is the third largest town in the canton of San Pedro in the municipality of Tarvita in the Azurduy province . The village is located at an altitude of 1978 m on the left, northern bank of the Río Orka Mayu , which flows downstream into the Río Milanes and belongs to the river system of the Bolivian Río Grande .

Tarea Pampa is located between the Altiplano in the west and the lowlands in the east in one of the north-south side valleys of the Bolivian Cordillera Central .
The climate of the region is a distinct daytime climate , in which the temperature differences between day and night fluctuate more clearly than the average values between summer and winter. The annual average temperature is 14 ° C (see Azurduy climate diagram), the monthly values fluctuate between 10 ° C in June / July and 16 ° C in December / January. Annual precipitation is just under 550 mm, with a dry season and monthly values below 10 mm from May to August, and maximum values of 100 to 110 mm from December to February.

Tarea Pampa is located 236 kilometers by road south of Sucre , the capital of the department.
The 976 kilometer long highway Ruta 6 , which connects the capital with the Bolivian lowlands and the metropolis of Santa Cruz there , runs through Sucre . The road from Sucre to the east is paved only for the first 67 kilometers to Tarabuco , the following 120 kilometers to Padilla are covered with unpaved gravel. Fifteen kilometers before Padilla, a dirt road branches off to the south and leads via Alcalá and San Pedro to Tarea Pampa and on via Molleni to Tarvita .
