Tatiana Petrovna Selenzowa ( Russian Татьяна Петровна Зеленцова , English transcription Tatyana Zelentsova ; born August 5, 1948 in Novorossiysk ) is a former Soviet hurdler and trainer. In 1978 she became the first female European champion in the 400 meter hurdles .

Selenzowa had been active as a hurdler since the 1960s and was one of the extended Soviet leaders in the 100-meter hurdles , but could never recommend herself for international championships despite a personal best of 13.13 seconds. When the first time the 400-meter hurdles at the Soviet championships was on the program in 1976, she won the title in 58.73 seconds; In 1977 she was third in the championship. On August 19, 1978, she ran the world record in Podolsk in 55.31 seconds and improved the old Polish Krystyna Kacperczyk's mark by 0.13 seconds.

At the European Championships in Prague in 1978 , she improved her world record to 54.89 seconds in the final and was the first woman to stay under 55 seconds. Behind her, the two Germans Silvia Hollmann (West) and Karin Roßley (East) each ran national records. A short time later, Selenzowa was Soviet champion in 54.96 seconds. After third place in the Soviet championship in 1979, she was fourth in 1980 and seventh again in 1982.

Tatiana Selenzowa is 1.70 m tall and weighed 58 kg during her competition time. After her active career, she was successful as a trainer.
