The Tauritzbach is a right tributary of the Haidenaab in Upper Franconia .

course

The Tauritzbach rises as Heinersbach am Kreuzstein (838 m) in the Fichtel Mountains . It flows in a south-westerly direction via Muckenreuth to Eckartsreuth. There the Hahnenbach flows to him. The Heinersbach reaches Tressau via Reislas. The Haidbach flows south of the village. From there, the Heinersbach bears the name Tauritzbach. Past the Tauritzmühle , it comes to Göppmannsbühl , where it flows into the 9.2 km long Haidenaab .

The Tauritzbach used to be seen as the upper reaches of the Haidenaab, as it is longer than the upper reaches of the Haidenaab. The source area of the Tauritzbach is the heather landscape Nasse Heide am Kreuzstein, which led to the naming of Haidenaab.
