Tayisiya Morderger (born March 7, 1997 in Kiev , Ukraine ) is a German tennis player . She is the twin sister of Yana Morderger , who also plays tennis professionally.

Career

Morderger, whose father Vitali is a qualified tennis trainer and whose mother Julia is a qualified business economist, started tennis at the age of six. She mainly plays tournaments on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , where she has won four singles and five doubles to date.

The twin sisters Morderger, who were considered to be great young talents from a young age, led the rankings of the Westphalian Tennis Association at the age of twelve and later also the all-German ranking of young people. In 2012 for the U16 juniors and 2013 for the U18 juniors, Tayisiya Morderger and her twin sister won the German doubles championship.

Tayisiya Morderger played her first professional tournament in April 2011 in Tessenderlo , Belgium , and her first win at ITF level was when she was 15 in Versmold . She reached her first semi-final in Kreuzlingen the following year ; she was only barely defeated by the then top 200 player Timea Bacsinszky 6: 3, 3: 6 and 6: 7 ² . Another year later she won the first tournament in Enschede in the Netherlands when she won the final against Nina Zander in three sets.

On the WTA Tour Morderger received both the qualification for 2014 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix and for the qualification for 2014 Nürnberger Versicherungscup a wildcard ; they failed in the first round of qualification.

At the ITF Women's Circuit UBS Thurgau 2015 , she competed in doubles with her twin sister; they did not get past the first round. At the Altenkirchen Ladies Open 2016 they lost 6: 3, 4: 6 and [9:11] to the pairing Georgina García Pérez / Polina Leikina in the first round .

In 2018 Morderger took part in the RTL program Bauer sucht Frau . Together with her twin sister Yana, she took part in the reality show Battle of Reality Stars - Shipwreck on Dream Beach in 2020 .
