Ted J. Kent
Ted John Kent (born October 6, 1901 in Illinois , USA , † June 17, 1986 in Orange County , California , USA ) was an American film editor .
Life
Kent began his career in film editing in 1927 . He stayed busy until the 1960s. In the years 1959 to 1961 he was often active for television, otherwise he was exclusively involved in cinema productions of different genres.
In the course of his career he has worked as an editor on more than 150 productions. Kent worked several times with director James Whale , for example in 1933 on the classic The Invisible Man . Their last joint production was The Green Hell from 1939.
In 1965 Kent was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Editing for the film The Big Wolf Calls .
