Ted Reichman (* 1973 in Houlton , Maine ) is an American musician ( accordion , organ , keyboards , also percussion , electronics ), composer and music producer and organizer, who specializes in combining improvisation with various forms of jazz , ethnic and popular music .

Reichman studied at Wesleyan University with Alvin Lucier and Anthony Braxton , with whom he also recorded ( Duo (Leipzig) , 1993, and Ghost Trance Music ). He also worked as an assistant to Braxton's opera production Trillium M. with. After moving to New York City, Reichman worked with jazz and improvisation musicians such as Ben Perowsky , Chris Speed , Marc Ribot , Anthony Coleman , David Krakauer , Eugene Chadbourne and Roberto Rodríguez; he also played alternative country with Sue Garner and Laura Cantrell and rock music .
