Teen Top ( . Kor 틴탑 ) is a South Korean K-Pop - boy band , which consists of six formerly since 2017 only five members. The band, founded by Shinhwas Andy Lee, made their TOP Media debut in 2010. They released their first single album Come into the World on July 9, 2010 and performed on MBC's Music Core the following day . Their official fan club is called Angel , but is unofficially called Andromeda .

Career

Members Ricky and Niel both acted as children. Niel made his debut in the musical Please , where he played the young character in the role of actor Joo Won . Ricky made his debut in Seo Taiji's music video Human Dream and later played the young " Song Seung-heon " character in Love Song .

2010: debut

In July 2010 they released their debut single album Come into the World with the title track Clap (kor. 박수 ), which was released on July 9, 2010. In the music video Clap plays Lizzy from After School with.

Teen Top's television debut was on July 10th on MBC's Music Core , then on SBS Inkigayo , after which her style was dubbed Knife Choreography by internet users .

2011: Supa Luv and Roman

On January 13, 2011, they joined M! Countdown with their second single Supa Luv , which was produced by Shin Hyuk. The song, which was originally written and performed by American artist Redd Stylez , has been rewritten and translated into Korean by Wheesung .

The music video for the remix version of Supa Luv by A-rex was released on March 2nd and contains scenes from the American film Beastly .

On July 11th, after celebrating Teen Top's first anniversary, their agency, TOP Media, announced on the official website that a new mini-album had been recorded and should be released on July 26th.

The first teasers for the single No More Perfume On You (kor. 향수 뿌리 지마 ) were published on July 21 on various video portals such as YouTube and Daum . The following day, the second teaser was published exclusively on YouTube. Teen Top's mini-album Roman was released for download on July 26th and in stores on July 27th.

2012: It's , aRtisT and Be Ma Girl

In January 2012, Teen Top released their second mini-album It's . It was produced, written, composed and mixed by the Brave Brothers . The album should be at midnight on 4th / 5th. January, but already on January 4th at 8 p.m. it could be found on file sharing sites.

Teen Top showed the music video of her song Crazy (kor. 미치겠 어 ) on January 5th with 4Minutes Kwon So-hyun. The entertainment news program Leitura Dinâmica of the Brazilian broadcaster RedeTV! had given Teen Top greater international interest.

On February 3, 2012, Teen Top won their first award at KBS Music Bank since debuting with Clap on July 10, 2010. They also received the honor of making the final appearance at MBC's Music Core , followed by another win at SBS Inkigayo . At the average age of 17.3 years, the band received an award for the youngest idol group at the above music shows. On February 25th, Teen Top received the award for the final appearance at Musik Core again .

Teen Top celebrated the inauguration of their official ANGEL fan club on May 28th.

aRtisT , Teen Top's third EP , was released for download on May 30th, followed by the release of the music video for their theme song To You . Physical albums were released on June 4, 2012.

On June 19, the band began their 2012 Zepp Tour through Japan with performances in Osaka , Nagoya and Tokyo .

Two music video teasers were uploaded to their official YouTube channel on July 28th and 31st. On August 3rd, the music video for Ma Girl (kor. 나랑 사귈래 ) was ready, which was released a day later.

2013: European tour, No. 1 and Teen Top Class

In February 2013 Teen Top started their first European tour, TEEN TOP SHOW! Live tour in Europe 2013 , with performances in Germany, England, France and Spain. The tour was successful and set a new decibel record for their concert in Paris, France.

On February 8th, TOP Media announced that Teen Top would release their first studio album, titled No. 1 will be released on February 25th. The first music video teaser for the first single I Wanna Love ( 사랑 하고 싶어 ) was released on February 12th and the single and its entire music video on February 15th. Along with the album's release on February 25, the music video for the single Miss Right was released.

The fourth mini-album, Teen Top Class with the title song Rocking (kor. 장난 아냐 ), was released on August 25th.
