Tekla Wilhelmina Nordström (born Lindeström; born February 11, 1856 in Stockholm ; † May 27, 1937 there ) was a Swedish xylographist .

Tekla Nordström was the daughter of Maria Lovisa Wilhelmina Vinqvist and Nils Peter Lindeström (1811–1864), who owned a chemical factory and was a member of the Swedish parliament . At the age of sixteen she first learned at the Tekniska skolan in Stockholm. Her teachers were Johanna Carolina Weidenhayn and Hans Nerpin ; The former in xylography, the latter in drawing. Later she took xylography lessons in Wilhelm Frederik Meyer's studio and with Jonas Engberg . In 1879, like many other Swedish artists, she went to France for training. The eraser Auguste Trichon now became her teacher. Four years after her arrival in France, she met Karl Nordström in the Swedish artist colony of Grez-sur-Loing . They got engaged in 1884 and married the following year. In the same year she exhibited at the Paris Salon and received an honorable mention . In 1886 they returned to Sweden, where they first lived on Karl's birth island Tjörn , but later moved to Stockholm. However, they almost always spent the summers on Tjörn. They lived in Varberg for a while, but moved back to Stockholm in 1895. They lived in France for a few months in the early 1920s.

They had a son, who died in 1918, and a daughter named Elsa (1889-1959), who also became an artist.
