Teodora Albon (born December 2, 1977 in Cisnădie ) is a Romanian football referee .

Career

From the 2007/08 season onwards, she headed individual League 1 games in the men's division . In the women's field, she is regularly used in the UEFA Women's Champions League and led the final between VfL Wolfsburg and Olympique Lyon in the 2012/13 season .

She gained experience in international tournaments during the 2012 U-20 Women's World Cup . At the European Football Championship Women 2013 Albon was also present and was used there in two group matches. At the 2015 Women's World Cup , she led the round of 16 between Australia and Brazil and was scheduled for the semi-final between Germany and the USA , making her the only referee who played a game between a team from her own confederation and a team from another Confederation headed. On May 2, 2016, she was nominated for her first Olympic football tournament.
