action

During an auction, the two millionaires Seth Karamchand and Lala Jagannath argue about a piece of land. Ultimately, both of them buy expensive land that is adjacent to each other. Out of spite, both now want to build the larger and more magnificent house on it.

Seth Karam Chand then hired the young architect Rakesh Kumar, not knowing that he was the son of his rival Lalas. Rakesh designs a modern house, which his father really likes, who also wants this house to be built.

Then the architect falls in love with Seth's daughter Sulekha of all people. Now Rakesh has his hands full not to let his relations with the other side get exposed.

Rakesh cannot keep up the game of hide and seek for long. At the latest when Seth and Lala are about to attack each other, Rakesh comes out. Fortunately, Rakesh manages to bring them both to their senses and can now take Sulekha as his wife without hesitation.

The lyrics to the music of Sachin Dev Burman wrote Hasrat Jaipuri . The songs Dil ka bhanwar kare pukar and Yeh tanhaai hai re hai became hits. Outstanding are the visual implementations of Dil ka bhanwara , which was filmed in front of the Qutub Minar , and the title song in which Nutan appears as a miniature in Anand's whiskey glass during the duet .
