Tessen von Heydebreck (born January 9, 1945 in Orth , Western Pomerania ) is a former German bank manager.

Life

Tessen von Heydebreck comes from the Pomeranian noble family von Heydebreck and studied law in Freiburg and Göttingen and received his doctorate in 1975 in Göttingen. jur. In 1967 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . In 1974 he joined Deutsche Bank and completed a trainee program in Hamburg and Bremen . In 1977 he moved to the head office of the bank in Düsseldorf and worked in the stock exchange department and at the same time assistant to the then spokesman for the board, Friedrich Wilhelm Christians . In 1981 he became director of the bank in Emden , in 1983 a member of the management of the Bremen branch and in 1991 a member of the management in Hamburg.

From 1994 to 2007 he was a member of the bank's management board, until 1996 as a deputy member. During these years, von Heydebreck was, among other things, responsible for private and business customers as well as asset management . He was particularly interested in building up and expanding business activities in Central and Eastern European countries, especially Russia and Poland. Most recently, as Chief Administrative Officer on the Executive Board, he was responsible for the areas of human resources, legal affairs , auditing , compliance and CSR ; he was also regionally responsible for Central and Eastern Europe.

At the end of the 2007 Annual General Meeting, he left the Board of Management of Deutsche Bank for reasons of age.

Tessen von Heydebreck has been a member of the supervisory board of Dussmann Verwaltungs AG in Berlin since January 2009 and a member of the board of trustees of the Peter Dussmann Foundation since January 2011.

Tessen von Heydebreck is committed to various cultural issues. He is chairman of the Kaiser Friedrich Museum Association , chairman of the board of trustees of the German Foundation for Monument Protection (after the death of Gottfried Kiesow ) and honorary chairman of the board of trustees of the IJP International Journalists Program eV Until November 2010 he was a member of the board of the Eastern Committee German economy . He also belongs to the Brandenburg Cathedral Chapter .

In 2007 he initiated the establishment of the “German-Polish Foundation for Cultural Preservation and Monument Protection” and contributed the foundation capital.

Von Heydebreck is married and has four daughters, including Amélie von Heydebreck , art author and co-founder of the art magazine Monopol, and married to the publicist Florian Illies .

Memberships

Tessen von Heydebreck is a member of the supervisory boards of Postbank , Vattenfall Europe and the German Energy Agency (dena), as well as the board of trustees of Dussmann Verwaltungs AG. He is also the chairman of the supervisory board of the Leipzig Graduate School of Management .

Until April 2, 2009 he was Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DWS Investment GmbH .
