Thann is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Opponitz in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 60 building areas with 14,709 m² and 32 gardens on 109,873 m² in the cadastral municipality of Thann, in 1989/1990 there were 54 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 61 and in 2009/2010 there were 43 buildings on 69 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 259 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 601 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 178 hectares and 681 hectares were designated as forest areas. At the end of 2018, 175 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 675 hectares. The average soil climate number of Thann is 19.6 (as of 2010).
