So the whole thing retains a more temporary character. He can also view living together as a scientific experiment. Sheldon agrees, but the new living arrangements have their pitfalls. The two actually wanted to be surprised, but in the middle of the night they got curious.

The two watch how Stuart and Raj secretly use their hot tub in the evenings because they assume that the parents-to-be have already gone away.

Howard and Raj buy a new cot without consulting Bernadette and borrow a minivan to test it out. When Howard tries to carry the bed out of the trunk, he suffers lumbago and has to go to the emergency room immediately. Stuart is very sad to learn that Sheldon has only invited him as a test guest. Sheldon realizes that he has hurt Stuart with it and lets say a toast to him. Then the two new buddies get drunk with Mimosas .

Bernadette tells Penny and Leonard, the three of whom are watching the show, that the apartment is fine again. Amy lies to Sheldon about it and avoids the subject as best she can. Leonard explains to Sheldon about her deception over dinner the next day and Howard recommends that you keep nothing on it in order to have something against her in your hand. He also informs Leonard that Penny has removed his collectibles from the apartment. After an argument among friends, Sheldon sees his girlfriend's action and wants to continue living with her. Penny redesigns her room with Leonard.

Raj surprises Isabella with a Mexican meal when she tries to clean his room. Sheldon continues to try to seduce Amy, this time with music, brandy and roses. Howard breaks into Raj's date and she learns of the lies Raj has told about her. However, she agrees that Raj can take her out to dinner. Sheldon's last attempt to seduce Amy is the awkward attempt at flamenco .

Sheldon and Amy swap furnishings with Leonard and Penny to remodel their apartment. Sheldon is very selfish and leaves Leonard and Penny's apartment after criticizing his behavior, insulted. In revenge, he then changes the WiFi password. Leonard pays him back by wearing the apartment flag as the only item of clothing. Sheldon is now renting his old room to an old man ( Christopher Lloyd ). Ultimately, they all see that this argument is pointless and make up again. Bernadette and Howard let Stuart stay with them temporarily. After Stuart cooked, but the invited Raj brought Chinese food with him, a competition between Stuart and Raj for the favor of Howard and Bernadette ensued. When Bernadette goes into labor, they work together as a team.

He puts on underpants over his head and flippers to demonstrate how a socially incompetent eccentric, whom Sheldon's mother apparently thinks he is, would behave. On the subsequent drive it turns out that Amy had already informed Sheldon's mother about their living together. Amy doubts Sheldon's ability to recognize other people's feelings. When Howard and Bernadette and the baby and Ray and Stuart arrive, Sheldon reports on his short time with an earring to live out his rebellious phase. Leonard and Penny tell how they transported a Christmas tree home and disposed of it in the elevator shaft when it turns out that they brought animals along with the tree. Bernadette doubts her suitability as a mother, as Stuart can calm the baby much faster than she can. She is then cheered up again by Sheldon. She had learned to calm the baby down by laying in the cot with him.

This is only possible by more or less wide jumps, which Bernadette naturally rejects.

However, it also comes out that Leonard is angry that Penny wants to billet her drug-dealing brother in Sheldon's former room, because he wants to apply for a job at Penny's company. You then discard this plan. Sheldon feels bad because the emotion detector makes it clear how difficult it is for him to recognize emotions. Amy rebuilds it and sends the detector back. Raj gathers all of his ex-girlfriends together to find out how to become a better friend. After it turns out that all of his ex-girlfriends are now in better relationships, Raj and Howard hypothetically envision their gay relationship.

Sheldon, Leonard and Howard are still working on their gyroscope project. Sheldon found a way to make the part even smaller. Since this involves additional work, the other two do not want to implement this. To distract Sheldon from it, Leonard gives him a trip on a nostalgic train. He is immediately on fire and cannot think of anything else. Colonel Williams comes to visit the lab and sees Sheldon's formula and also knows what it means. He therefore calls on Leonard and Howard to implement this. However, without Sheldon, the two are not able to finish calculating the formula and try to get him to help them with a lazy trick. At first he doesn't fall for it and continues to work on his railroad dream. In the end he lets himself be changed. Bernadette's ceiling falls on her head at home. Penny and Amy suggest they could go out together. Raj and Stuart offer to take care of the baby, but are hopelessly overwhelmed and constantly call Bernadette. Amy and Penny discover how little they have achieved in their lives compared to Bernadette, which makes them cry.

It turns out Sheldon was telling this around at Caltech and Amy is quite angry and disappointed about it. Sheldon tries to understand what line he's crossed, but has a hard time doing it. Raj has a conversation with his father. He is disappointed that Raj can be tolerated by him and is quite spoiled. Bernadette, Howard, Penny and Leonard try to explain to Raj that he should finally grow up and take responsibility, which he cannot understand. A dispute breaks out between the two couples about who Raj could live with if he gives up his expensive apartment. Raj slowly begins to understand that he has to change something and he explains to his father that it will no longer be a problem for him.

Sheldon is now taking care of Raj's finances and the first thing he told him was that he couldn't go to Comic-Con this year. He thinks it's very bad, but Sheldon cannot be changed. He recommends that he earn some money on the side. Penny has promised Leonard to accompany him to Comic-Con this year, although she is actually not in the mood. Leonard doesn't really want Penny to accompany him, but neither of them have the courage to tell the other. Howard has not yet asked Bernadette if he can go when he does, she says “maybe” and he has to help her around the house. Amy and Sheldon now both know about Penny and Leonard's problem. When they want to go to dinner and the two of them argue about who should drive the car, Amy's collar bursts and she chats it up. Sheldon helps her, Penny and Leonard can now come to an agreement. When everyone is with Bernadette and Howard, the two want to give Raj money because he always helps them, but he turns it down and says that he can do without the Comic-Con. Leonard then comes to the same conclusion and Howard also waives. Only Sheldon wants to go anyway. So that he is not alone, he tries to convince Amy to come with him.

Only Penny can finally explain to Sheldon what Ramona intends to do. After Ramona has kissed Sheldon, he immediately takes the next plane to his girlfriend and asks for her hand.
