The Electric Indian

The Electric Indian was an American instrumental - studio band from Philadelphia , by Bernard Binnick, a co-founder of the label , was compiled SWAN Records. Stylistically, the formation moved in the areas of funk and soul .

Band history

In 1969, the band , which included Bobby Eli, Daryl Hall and Vincent Montana, Jr. , had a top 20 hit in the US pop charts and a top 50 hit in the R&B charts with Keem-O-Sabe . The album of the same name was also able to place itself in the middle of both hit lists. The follow-up single Land of 1000 Dances , which was not included on the album, was only one week lower in the pop charts in December of that year. Three other singles, released in 1970, failed to enter the chart. The group then split up.

Eli and Montana were u. a. from 1973 members of the studio band MFSB , Hall formed the duo Hall & Oates with John Oates .
