action

Norwich, December 1334: Sir Cole is about to be knighted. During a ride shortly before the coronation, he meets a sorceress in the forest who catapults him into the present so that he can find his task there. Cole ends up in the middle of the Christmas market in the small town of Bracebridge and is nearly run over by high school teacher Brooke Winters. Since Brooke feels guilty, she takes Cole in. He claims that he is a knight and must go back to the 14th century. Brooke believes Cole has amnesia and wants to help him. She helps him find his way around the modern world and figure out how to accomplish his mysterious true mission - the only act that will bring him back home.

Cole quickly becomes friends with Claire, the daughter of Brooke's sister Madison. Meanwhile Brooke notices that Cole is good for her and falls in love with him. Over time, she even believes that Cole is telling the truth and that the truth is from the past. Cole now wonders if he wants to go back to his real life because he has also fallen in love with Brooke.

After helping Brooke at Christmas dinner, Cole can go back to his old life. With a heavy heart he leaves Brooke in Bracebridge, who was thus again disappointed by love. Once in Norwich, Cole realizes it was a mistake to return. He hands over the knighthood to his brother Sir Geoffrey and returns to the present. There he meets with Brooke.

In a post-credits scene, Sir Geoffrey is approached by a sorceress who wants to show him his true role.
