action

The writer Evan Merck makes a living writing suicide notes for people who want to commit suicide. He later attends his customers' funerals. Merck meets Charlotte Morris, the sister of one of its customers. She is fascinated by him.

Morris and Merck begin a love affair. The writer tries to keep his business activities a secret from Morris.

Reviews

The organizers of the Sundance Film Festival wrote that the film was a "hilarious black romantic comedy" . He is "surprisingly touching" , quirky, charming and intelligent in a malicious way. The film addresses loss, redemption and the need to leave something behind. The chemistry between the main actors is there.

Awards

The film entered the Sundance Film Festival as a competition entry, whereby Geoffrey Haley was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.
