Anna Fox is single, she is a child psychologist and lives secluded in one of the old New York sandstone houses . Since she has suffered from agoraphobia since a traumatic experience , she never leaves the house. She spends her time chatting with strangers online, drinks a lot, watches old movies or sits by the window and watches her neighbors. One day when she was watching the Russels again, who recently moved into the apartment across the street, she witnessed a violent crime. But she hesitates to report the crime to the police.
