Wyatt Russell (* 10. July 1986 in Los Angeles , California as Wyatt Russell Hawn ) is an American actor and former professional ice hockey goaltender .

Life

Wyatt Russell was born into a family of actors to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell . His half-siblings from Goldie Hawn's previous marriage to Bill Hudson are Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson , and his grandfather Bing Russell was also an actor. In 2014 he married the stylist Sanne Hamers, whom he had met in the Netherlands . The marriage was divorced in 2017. During the filming of the comedy film Folk Hero & Funny Guy (2016) he met actress Meredith Hagner, whom he married in 2019.

ice Hockey

As an ice hockey goalkeeper , he played for the Canadian teams Langley Hornets (2003/04) and Coquitlam Express (2004/05) in the British Columbia Hockey League , the Brampton Capitals (2005-2007) and the US Chicago Steel (2005 / 06). In Germany he played for EHC Timmendorfer Strand 06 in the 2008/09 season . In the 2009/10 season he was in goal for the Dutch GIJS Groningen . In 2010 he ended his ice hockey career due to an injury.

Movie and TV

After the end of his ice hockey career, he began a career as an actor and was initially in supporting roles in films such as Cowboys & Aliens (2011), Immer Anger mit 40 (This Is 40) (2012) and Love and Honor (2013 ) to see. In 2014 he played the role of gangster Freddy Russel in the film adaptation of the novel Cold in July and was nominated for his portrayal of the zook in the comedy 22 Jump Street as part of the Teen Choice Awards 2014 in the category Choice Movie: Breakout Star .

In 2016 he starred as Jason in the comedy Folk Hero & Funny Guy , which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival . He also starred in the comedy film Everybody Wants Some !! the role of Charlie Willoughby. In 2017 he was in Table 19 - Love Is Out of Place with Anna Kendrick as Teddy, as Ezra O'Keefe in Ingrid Goes West and as Ed Burton in Shimmer Lake .

In the US horror war film Operation: Overlord , he played the role of Corporal Lewis Ford in 2018, and in the television series Lodge 49 he has another leading role as Sean "Dud" Dudley. In 2018 he also worked on the filming of the mystery thriller The Woman in the Window by Joe Wright alongside Amy Adams , Julianne Moore and Gary Oldman . In August 2019, it was announced that he would take on the role of John Walker / US Agent in the Marvel series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier .
