This discography is an overview of the records published by the jazz musician Thelonious Monk (1917–1982). In (section 1) it includes his albums (on the 12-inch vinyl record) under his own name. The shellac records released by Monk on Blue Note Records are listed under Genius of Modern Music # Singles of the Blue Note era , the five 10-inch LPs released by Prestige in the early 1950s are listed under Thelonious Monk Trio # Appendix: The Prestige 10 inch albums and EPs listed. The following sections of the discography include compilations and box sets (section 2), his involvement in collaborative band projects such as the Giants of Jazz (Section 3) and his involvement as a musician in other productions (Section 4) . According to the discographer Tom Lord , he was involved in 193 recording sessions between 1941 and 1975.
