Theo Kautzmann

Theo Kautzmann (born April 20, 1948 in Landau in the Palatinate ) is a former German winemaker and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Kautzmann attended elementary school and the Landau and Dahn grammar schools . He then did a commercial apprenticeship with a degree as a wholesaler and attended the viticulture school. In 1968 he became head of his parents' winery. From 1980 to 1984 he was a personal assistant to the Bundestag member Heiner Geißler and from 1984 managing director of Weinwerbung Südliche Weinstrasse eV He is a father of two and has six grandchildren.

In 1971 he became a member of the CDU and was chairman of the CDU local association in Birkweiler from 1971 to 1974 , from 1973 a member of the CDU district executive in Landau and from 1973 to 1984 managing director of the CDU Südpfalz. In 1980 he became chairman of the CDU municipal association in Landau and in 1981 a member of the Landau city council, where he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group and from 1998-2002 chairman of the CDU city council parliamentary group.

In 1987 he ran for the eleventh state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate . On March 1, 1990, he replaced Herbert Waldenberger in the state parliament, to which he was a member until the end of the 1991 electoral term. In the state parliament he was a member of the committee for agriculture, viticulture and forestry and the committee for social affairs and family.

In 1984 he became a board member of the Rheinpfalz planning community , from 1979 to 1989 he was a lay judge at the Landau regional court in the Palatinate . In 1987 he became chairman of the ASV Landau . In 1998 he became a member, in 2002 Vice President and 2010 President of the Upper Rhine Council. He was a member of the supervisory board of Stadtholding Landau, the working group Energie-Südwest and other committees and organizations. He was awarded the ring of honor of the city of Landau (2001) and the ring of honor of the Freiherr vom Stein plaque (2006).
