Theodor Bauder

Theodor Bauder (born November 29, 1888 in Freudenstadt ; † May 1945 ) was a German civil engineer and SA leader at the time of National Socialism .

Life

Bauder completed his school career at the secondary school in Cannstatt and then studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Stuttgart . From April 1915 he took part in the First World War as a volunteer and was most recently used as the leader of an MG company . In January 1919, Bauder was released from the army. He was a member of the Pan-German Association from 1911 to 1939 and of the Württemberg Citizens' Party from 1921 to 1923 . Bauder embarked on a civil service career in Württemberg, initially as a government master builder ( assessor ) and later as a government building officer .

He joined the NSDAP ( membership number 58.712) at the end of March 1927. In September 1934, Bauder joined the SA and rose to SA Oberführer in April 1943. Bauder was the bearer of the golden NSDAP party badge and worked for the party as a Gauamtsleiter without a portfolio. As a civil servant, Bauder was promoted to President of the State Technical Office in Ludwigsburg . After the " smashing of the rest of the Czech Republic ", Bauder headed the road construction group in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia with the Reich Protector Konstantin Freiherr von Neurath there .

After the outbreak of World War II , from February 28, 1940 to January 17, 1945, Bauder headed the newly established Construction Department in the Government of the Generalgouvernement (GG). In this function, Bauder later held the title of President of the Construction Department in the GG. In addition, from the beginning of March 1940, Bauder was the liaison between the Main Office for Technology and Governor General Hans Frank . From March 1943 to July 1944 he headed the central technical office in the GG. In addition, until January 17, 1945 he was general representative for construction in the GG.

Theodor Bauder was married and had several children. His daughter Marianne was Reinhard Appel's wife .
