Theuern (Kümmersbruck)

Theuern is a district of Kümmersbruck in the Upper Palatinate district of Amberg-Sulzbach . It is located southeast of Kümmersbruck and on the Vils , a right tributary of the Naab .

history

Hammerherrenschloss

The district was first mentioned in a document in 1092 and is therefore older than the core town of Kümmersbruck. Theuern has around 1,000 inhabitants today. The place was incorporated into Kümmersbruck in 1972 and is located in the forest areas of Hirschwald and Taubenbacher Forst. The distance to Nuremberg or Regensburg is 45 minutes by car. In the district is the Mining and Industry Museum East Bavaria , which is housed in the Baroque style Hammerherrenschloss built in 1781 . The parish church of St. Nicholas was built in the middle of the 18th century. Theuern has a commercial area that is conveniently located on the federal motorway 6 .
