The church in Lengenfeld, the largest of the Kümmersbruck branch churches , is now a Wendelinikirche. It was already mentioned in 1612. The first available written document dates from November 4, 1700, which also speaks of "Dorflengenfeld". In 1724, a great cattle epidemic struck the place. The building of a larger chapel was promised, which also happened from 1727 to 1728. According to a message from the superior of Pielenhofen monastery , the dean of Amberg blessed the chapel. As early as 1753 the nave was lengthened and the tower raised. Lengenfeld had experienced a heyday with the church at that time. The church, enthroned high on the mountain, was a pilgrimage church for the shepherds and shepherds, was a church for the village that was still self-contained, but also a reference church for the Leonhardi brotherhood. According to a list from that time, the members of the brotherhood came to Lengenfeld from the wider area, as is shown by a candle in the church that is more than 200 years old. The church was cremated in 1848 and rebuilt in 1860. The picture of Saint Wendelin hangs on the gallery today , while a picture of Mary has found space in the high altar . A former side altar is now in St. Antonius in Kümmersbruck. The Lengenfelder donated a Way of the Cross in 1858 . The bell from 1849 shows Maria Hilf and St. Wendelin, the bell from 1709 shows Maria Hilf and St. Sebastian. This also shows that the Lengenfeld church used to be a Sebastian church and later became a Wendelin church. in
