Thierbach is a district of the Bad Steben market in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .
Before the place was incorporated on January 1, 1972, it belonged to the Naila district . It is located in the Froschbach Valley. Thierbach and Froschbach flow in the municipality.
Architectural monuments are connected to the former palace complex , where, in addition to the nature of the soil and inconspicuous wall remnants, farm buildings have been preserved. The furnishings of the palace chapel were used for the prison chapel of the Bayreuth prison .
In the southeast of the village is the Burgstall Weidenstein .
Thierbach was previously accessible via the Hof – Bad Steben railway line and, as a municipality, was involved in planning the route. State road St 2196 begins in the village . The state road St 2198 runs from Marxgrün after Bobengrün .
