Thomas Adler (born January 23, 1965 in Fürth ) is a former German soccer player and today's soccer coach . He was a striker .

career

Born in 1965, Thomas Adler played in the youth of SpVgg Fürth from 1971 and began his senior career in the first team of the Bayern league, where he played until 1986. After a temporary move to FC Herzogenaurach , the striker was under contract with Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin from 1988 , a second division team at the time . Thomas Adler appeared for the first time in the 1990/91 season , in which he was third-best goalscorer in the 2nd Bundesliga behind Michael Tönnies and Marcus Marin with 21 goals .

After this success, Adler moved to Bayer 05 Uerdingen , who had just been relegated from the first division , with whom he won the championship of the 2nd Bundesliga and thus promotion to the 1st Bundesliga in the following season 1991/92 . 1992/93 Adler played his only season in the 1st Bundesliga with Uerdingen; he played 19 games and scored two goals. The club rose again from the 2nd division.

After relegation, Adler moved to the top division Fortuna Düsseldorf , with whom he won the championship in 1993/94 and thus promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. In 1994 he moved to the regional league team Tennis Borussia Berlin , where he played until 1998. The greatest success during this time was winning the German Amateur Championship in 1998 and promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga, which TeBe achieved in Adler's last season at the club. The now 33-year-old Adler moved to the Bayern division SC Feucht after this season , for whom he played for two years.

Trainer

He started as a player coach at TV Hemau and got his coaching license. Then he was a youth coach at 1. FC Nürnberg . From 2005 he coached the U16, U17 least, the Cluberer . After he was on leave, he started at SG Quelle Fürth in August 2007 and trained first the B-youth and from 2008 to 2010 the A-youth. At the end of the 2009/10 season, Adler then took over the national league team at Quelle. Adler took over DJK Ammerthal for the 2015/16 season , but the commitment was ended before the winter break.
