Thomas Green (cartographer)

Thomas Green (* 1770 ; † April 10, 1830 in Munich ) was a German cartographer .

Life

Green worked as an engineer - geographer from 1803 until his death in 1830 in the Topographical Bureau in Munich. He drew the plan of the capital and residence of Munich in 1806, measured by Joseph Consoni in 1806 and engraved by the copper engraver Johann Karl Schleich in 1809 . On May 20, 1822, the authorities concerned, on behalf of the Bavarian King Maximilian I, were instructed by the government of the Obermainkreis to assist the engineer-geographer Green and his designer Joseph Piche with the topographical mapping of the district courts of Kulmbach , Kronach , Weismain , Hollfeld , Münchberg , To give Stadtsteinach and Gefrees all support by providing wagons, messengers and guides.
