Thomas Osman
Thomas Osman OFMCap (born May 25, 1950 in Lemuna , Eritrea ) is the Ethiopian Catholic Bishop of Barentu in Eritrea.
Life
Thomas Osman was ordained as a priest of the Capuchins on July 10, 1977 . He was appointed Bishop of Barentu on October 4, 2001. Bishop Zekarias Yohannes of Asmara and Bishop emeritus Luca Milesi OFMCap (predecessor in Barentu) and Bishop Tesfamariam Bedho of Keren consecrated Osman on January 13, 2002. Bishop Osman was Mitkonsekrator at Kidane Yebio Bishop of Keren. Together with his ministerial brothers from Eritrea (Asmara and Keren) he was a delegate at the special assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the Middle East (October 2010).
