Thomas Recker

Thomas Recker (* 1946 in Bremen ) is a German sculptor and graphic artist .

Life

Recker studied sculpture with Gerhart Schreiter at the Bremen University of the Arts from 1968 to 1974 . This was followed by participation in several competitions and exhibitions.

In 1978 he received the sponsorship award from the Free and Hanseatic City of Bremen. From 1989 to 1998 he held a teaching position at the HfK Bremen in the free art department. In addition to a studio in Bremen-Findorff, he has been working in a studio community with Helmut Streich in the Haus am Wasser in Bremen-Vegesack since 2000 .
