Thomas Sinner

Thomas Sünder (* 1975 in Hanau ) is a German author , former DJ and musician .

Life

Thomas Sünder studied modern German literature and media, philosophy and art history in Marburg from 1996 to 2001. He has lived in Hamburg since 2001. After a two-year traineeship as a PR consultant, he went freelance as a musician, DJ and copywriter.

In March 2013, Thomas Sünder published the book Who says yes, can also unload Aunt Inge at Blanvalet Verlag - Tips from the professional for the perfect wedding celebration . In it, he reports in a humorous way about embarrassing situations and mishaps that he has experienced in eight years as a DJ at wedding parties. He clarifies the planning errors on which such mishaps are based and gives advice on how to avoid them. In doing so, he questions traditional wedding customs and is critical of business practices in the wedding industry. A key message is that bridal couples shouldn't let outside dictates what their own celebration should look like. The book became a bestseller in just a few months .

In December 2016, his second book on the subject of weddings was published with the title Who actually has the rings? Tips from professionals for all groomsmen.

In February 2019, his third book was published with the title Ganz Ohr - Everything about our hearing and how it keeps us mentally fit , which he and Dr. Andreas Borta wrote. With that he switched not only to Goldmann Verlag , but also to the subjects of popular science and medicine . The reason for the change of direction was a sudden hearing loss , followed by tinnitus , hearing loss , dizziness and finally the diagnosis of Menière's disease , which ended his DJ career. A key message from Ganz Ohr is that hearing care is the most effective way of preventing dementia and that the risk of dementia increases by up to four hundred percent if hearing loss is not compensated for by a hearing aid .

Thomas Sünder was a guest on TV on the NDR Talk Show and on inka! with Inka Bause , as well as in radio broadcasts on Bayern 3 , Radio Hamburg and Oldie 95 . At Radio NDR 1 Welle Nord he was a juror in the competition In love, traveling, married , in which the most beautiful marriage proposal was chosen. He published tips around married in print and online media, such as Bild.de , freundin.de , Jolie , Kölner Stadt Anzeiger , Courier Austria , mum, new for the woman, and News.at .
