TUI UK is a British tourism company based in Luton , England . Until 2017 it was called Thomson Holidays .

The company was founded in 1965 and was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1998. The company is currently a subsidiary of TUI Travel . The company specializes in the cruise industry and operates the Marella Cruises brand ( Thomson Cruises until 2017 ). The Island Cruises brand was also part of the company. From 2002 to 2006 the company was a sponsor of the British football club Tottenham Hotspur FC

The Thomson Spirit

Instead of Mein Schiff 2 , Marella Cruises received the Skysea Golden Era in 2019 , which was renamed Marella Explorer 2 . As the first ship of the shipping company, children are not allowed on board the Marella Explorer 2 . Mein Schiff Herz is scheduled to switch to Marella Cruises in 2022 .
