Thuso Mpuang (born March 1, 1984 ) is a South African sprinter and Olympian. He celebrated his greatest successes so far by winning two gold medals at the 2008 African Athletics Championships in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa and two bronze medals at the Universiade student competitions . Mpuang is enrolled in the Free State University .

The 1.77 m tall and 75 kg heavy athlete finished eleventh over 200 meters at the 2005 World Youth Championships in Marrakech and fourth at the 2006 Junior World Championships in Beijing . It was in this very city that he was also part of the South African squad for the 2008 Summer Olympics two years later . However, the relay over 4 × 100 meters lost in the first run when changing the baton and was eliminated. In the 200-meter run, Mpuang reached the second lap.
