Tia Dashon Mowry-Hardrict (born July 6, 1978 in Gelnhausen , Hessen ; born Tia Dashon Mowry ) is an American actress .

Life

Tia Mowry was born in 1978 in Gelnhausen, Hesse, as the daughter of Darlene and Timothy Mowry, who was with the US Army . Her twin sister Tamera Mowry and her younger brother Tahj Mowry are also actors. She also has a younger brother. Her cousin is the NFL - running back Jameel Cook . When her father took a job in the City of Glendale Police Department , the family moved to California . Mowry has English ancestors through her father . Her mother's ancestors were African American and came from the Bahamas .

Tia Mowry completed her school career at Birmingham High School in Van Nuys . After graduating, she studied psychology at Pepperdine University in Malibu .

At Christmas 2006, Mowry got engaged to actor Cory Hardrict after six years of relationship . The two married in April 2008 in California . In January 2011, the pregnancy of the actress became known. Their son was born at the end of June 2011.

Career

Tia Mowry and her twin sister Tamera gained their first experience in talent shows . After the family moved to Los Angeles , the sisters got minor roles and roles in commercials .

Tia Mowry became well known for her role in the series Sister, Sister .
