The Tianjin Radio and Television Tower is a 415 meter high television tower in the Chinese city of Tianjin , located in the Hexi district . After the Canton Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower, it is the third tallest in the country and the eighth tallest in the world . The tower, which opened on January 1, 1991, has a viewing platform at 253 meters and a revolving restaurant at 257 meters . The 3.66 meter wide rotating platform offers space for up to 200 guests. The Tianjin Radio and TV Tower broadcasts nine radio and seven television programs.
