The Tiefernitzbach is a brook in the district of Southeast Styria in Austria .

Geographical location

The Tiefernitzbach is created by the confluence of the Ungerdorfbach and the Lammbach in the village of Lamm in the municipality of Petersdorf II . The stream then runs through the villages of Tiefernitz and Mehlteuer in the municipality of Oberdorf am Hochegg as well as Kirchberg an der Raab and Berndorf in the municipality of Kirchberg and flows into the Raab as the border stream of the municipalities of Kirchberg and Oberstorcha .

The Tiefernitzbach in the Raab river system should not be confused with the Tiefernitzbach in Vasoldsberg , which flows into the Ferbersbach in the Mur river system .

According to a legend, a water woman is said to live in the Tiefernitzbach .
