Tiki (or Tiki - CMS Wiki Groupware , formerly: TikiWiki ) is a free content management system that can be used to design and manage websites , portals , intranets and extranets .

Rights and roles

Access is controlled via a user and rights management system that manages individual users and various groups. Each function and each wiki page can be assigned rights individually.

internationalization

TikiWiki is an international project that offers translations of the user interface into many languages. The standard interface is in English , but TikiWiki supports every language that can be displayed in UTF-8 . As of September 29, 2005, TikiWiki has been completely translated into eight languages ​​and 90% or more of the other five languages ​​are available. Translations are available for a total of 35 languages. A list of languages ​​and their current translation progress is available on the TikiWiki website.

There is also a German translation, from version 6 onwards (i.e. since autumn 2010 at the latest) this is almost 100% and therefore complete and up-to-date. The translation of new functions into German is usually still in the development phase.

The community has a small but helpful German-speaking user group or German language user group.
