The Tilde was the cargo ship that was used between 1978 and 2009 between the North Sea island of Spiekeroog and Neuharlingersiel . The ship belonged to Nordseebad Spiekeroog GmbH, was decommissioned in 2009 and replaced by the Spiekeroog IV .

The ship was built in 1949 under the name Konrad in Hamburg as a barge for the shipowner Konrad Mörker ( Haren (Ems) ). In June 1978 the company was sold to NSB, Spiekeroog. The ship was transferred from Haren an der Ems to the Julius Diedrich shipyard , where the conversion was carried out. For the conversion, the ship was cut into three pieces and then reassembled for a shortened period. The ship was first used in November 1978. From then on, the Tilde was the only shipping company's own cargo ship operating between Neuharlingersiel and the Spiekeroog pier , which from 1981 was the new nearby Spiekeroog harbor.

At the beginning of the 1980s, the main engine was replaced by the installation of the used KHD traction engine of the Spiekeroog III , which had been removed there.

In its 31 years of service, the Tilde carried around 230,000 tons of freight.

The Tilde had to be decommissioned because it no longer met the requirements of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS) .

She was then sold to the Netherlands and is to be converted into a houseboat.
