Tim-Philip Katzer (born January 29, 1993 in Stuttgart ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing for SC Bietigheim-Bissingen since 2018.

Career

Katzer first went through the youth departments at SC Bietigheim-Bissingen and SC Riessersee . In the latter, he played successfully with the SC Riessersee in the DNL and already received two appearances in the regular season and 14 appearances in the playoffs in the first team of the SC Riessersee in the league in the 2010/11 season . Katzer has been in the regular line-up of the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey team since the 2011/12 season . During the 2011/12 season, Katzer was loaned to the upper division EC Peiting in order to get more match practice. In July 2012 it was announced that Katzer was moving to the Saale Bulls in the Oberliga Ost .

In the 2012/13 season he brought the Oberliga Ost championship and the North-East Cup to the city of Handel in the dress of the Saale Bulls. In the following year he supported the ERC Ingolstadt in the Champions Hockey League and helped the EV Regensburg by means of a sponsorship license to stay in the league.

For the 2014/15 season he returned to Halle to support the Saale Bulls in their ambitions for promotion. After another season marked by injuries, Katzer decided against another season in professional sport and devoted himself to completing his studies.

In the Regionalliga Playoffs 2018 he returned to the ice after three years and won the championship with SC Bietigheim-Bissingen.
