Ronald Timothy "Tim" Renton, Baron Renton of Mount Harry PC DL (* 28. May 1932 ) is a British business leaders and politicians of the Conservative Party , who for 23 years member of the House of Commons was, and from 1997 to 2016 as a Life Peer Member of the House of Lords .

Life

Member of the House of Commons and Minister

After visiting the Eton College graduated from Renton to study Historical Sciences at Magdalen College of the University of Oxford , where he graduated with honors. He then worked as an economic manager and, among other things, was director of Silvermines Ltd from 1967 to 1984 and, at the same time, director of the ANZ Banking Group between 1968 and 1975 and temporarily managing director of Tennant Trading .

House of Lords

After leaving the House of Commons, Renton was raised to the nobility by a letters patent dated June 9, 1997 as a life peer with the title Baron of Mount Harry , of Offham in the County of East Sussex .
