The Jakobsweg in Tirol is the part of the Jakobsweg network in Austria that runs in Tirol .

The main branch of the Austrian Way of St. James is also that of the Way of St. James in Tyrol.

The main route reaches the state of Tyrol in Waidring and initially runs to Wörgl , where the Jakobsweg Bohemia – Bavaria – Tyrol is integrated.

From Innsbruck , the South Austrian Way of St. James , which comes from Graz via Slovenia , Carinthia and East Tyrol , is integrated into the main branch of the Austrian and Tyrolean Way of St. James, which leaves Tyrol at Sankt Anton am Arlberg on the Way of St. James Landeck – Einsiedeln .

The South Austrian Jakobsweg is signposted in East Tyrol and North Tyrol as Jakobsweg Tirol and in between in South Tyrol as Jakobsweg Südtirol .

At Telfs / Mötz , the Jakobsweg Isar – Loisach – Leutascher Ache – Inn, signposted as a continuation of the Munich Jakobsweg from Schäftlarn Monastery, joins the Jakobsweg Tirol.

Project description

The Jakobsweg Tirol is a cross-border Interreg III project of all Leader + and regional development associations in Tirol, publicly funded by the EU , the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor and the Ministry of Life , in which 90 municipalities are involved and also from the Province of Tirol , the Diocese of Innsbruck and the Archdiocese of Salzburg was supported. Project partners were also the tourism associations in Tirol, Tirol Werbung and the Jakobsgemeinschaft Tirol.
