Titular diocese of Halicarnassus
Halicarnassus ( Italian : Alicarnasso ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a submerged bishopric in the ancient city of Halicarnassus in the Asian region of Caria . The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Stauropolis .
