Tobias Gerdesmeyer (born December 15, 1973 in Lohne ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is mayor of the Lower Saxony city ​​of Lohne in the Vechta district .

Life

As a primary school, Tobias Gerdesmeyer attended the Lohner Von Galen School and then the Lohne grammar school . He did his basic military service in the Theodor Blank barracks in Rheine and the Wittekind barracks in Wildeshausen . From 1994 to 1999 he studied law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He passed his 1st state examination at the Judicial Examination Office of the Higher Regional Court in Hamm , and was a trainee lawyer in Osnabrück , Oldenburg (Oldb) and Vechta . He was in Hanover for his 2nd state examination . In the district of the Regional Court of Oldenburg he was a civil judge , criminal judge and public prosecutor .

Since 2008 he has been the chief municipal director of Lohne and deputy mayor of Hans Georg Niesel (CDU) in his last term of office.

Among other things, he is the first chairman of the Lohne music school. Tobias Gerdesmeyer is married; he has two sons and a daughter.

Since January 1, 2012, Tobias Gerdesmeyer has succeeded Hans Georg Niesel, who no longer ran for reasons of age, mayor of Lohne. He won the mayoral election in 2011 with 68.71 percent of the valid votes against only one candidate.
