Death Greetings from Havana is an action thriller directed by Buzz Kulik from the year 1987 .

Annie works as an agent for the CIA in the late 1970s, she is deployed in Cuba. There she observed Louis Malarin, a close colleague of Fidel Castro, with whom she fell in love. She is arrested and then freed by her colleague Vic Pena in a daring action.
Annie lives in Los Angeles years later, she is now married. Her husband doesn't know anything about her past. The CIA seeks help from Annie to rescue the imprisoned Vic Pena. She travels to Cuba again, where she frees Pena. However, she later discovers that Pena is a double agent for the Russian secret service.
