Tom Atkins (born November 13, 1935 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor .

Life

Atkins graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He made his debut in 1968 on the side of Frank Sinatra , Robert Duvall and Jacqueline Bisset in a small supporting role in the detective film . Between 1974 and 1977 he played the recurring guest role of Alex Diel in the television series Detective Rockford - a call is enough , from 1976 to 1977 he had one of the leading roles alongside David Birney in the series Serpico . John Carpenter cast actins for one of the main roles in the horror film Halloween III and in supporting roles in his two films The Fog and The Rattlesnake . In 1988 he played the male lead in Maniac Cop , in the 1990s he was in some television series such as Xena - Die Kriegerprinzessin as well as in two television films based on the series Detective Rockford .

Atkins is married with one child.
