Thomas Loren Lenk (born June 16, 1976 in Westlake Village , California ) is an American actor .

After college, Lenk attended the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). He took his first role in 1997 in the film Boogie Nights directed by Paul Thomas Anderson . In the German-speaking countries he is best known for his role as Andrew Wells in the television series Buffy - The Bane of Demons . After the end of Buffy, Lenk appeared in other television roles, including the final season of the Buffy spin-off Angel - Hunter of Darkness and Six Feet Under . In 2006 he was seen alongside three other actors known from the Buffyverse , including Clare Kramer , in the vampire film The Thirst .

In addition to acting, Lenk has also appeared in musicals , including the performance of Grease in Munich . In addition, he created his own plays.

After kissing his co-star Jerry O'Connell on the short sitcom Do Not Disturb , he saw the right time to come out as gay in The Advocate magazine in November 2008 , which came as no surprise to the fans .
