Tom-Jelte Slagter (born July 1, 1989 ) is a Dutch road cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2010 and 2011 Slagter rode for Rabobank Continental , the farm team of the Dutch cycling team Rabobank . In his first year there, he won a stage at the Circuit des Ardennes and became the Dutch U23 road racing champion . In 2012 he switched to the ProTeam , which has been called the Blanco Pro Cycling Team since 2013 . He achieved his greatest success at that time by winning the Tour Down Under 2013, where he also won a stage.

In 2014 Tom Slagter won two stages from Paris – Nice . He achieved further stage successes in 2015 in the Tour of Alberta , in 2016 in the Tour du Haut-Var and in 2017 in the Tour of Austria
