Tom Wolk

Tom "T-Bone" Wolk (born December 24, 1951 in Yonkers , † February 28, 2010 in Pawling ) was an American musician who became known as the bassist for Hall & Oates .

life and career

Wolk played with Hall & Oates, Elvis Costello , Billy Joel , Paul Carrack and Carly Simon , among others . He was also a member of the Saturday Night Live Band (1986 to 1992). Wolk had been with Hall & Oates since 1981. He played with Billy Joel on the River of Dreams Tour. Since late 2007, Wolk has played with Daryl Hall and various musicians on Live From Daryl's House, a free monthly webcast with John Oates , Smokey Robinson , Todd Rundgren , Nick Lowe , The Bacon Brothers , Robby Krieger , Ray Manzarek and others, among others .

Wolk died of a heart attack on February 28, 2010. He was 58 years old. A few hours before his death, he had been working in the studio with Daryl Hall on recordings for the singer's solo album. Wolk should have appeared with Hall & Oates on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon the following day .
