Tommaso Orsini († July 10, 1390 in Montenero Sabino ) was an Italian cardinal of the Roman Church . He was also called the Cardinal of Manupello .

Life

Tommaso Orsini came from the family of the Counts of Manoppello and was the son of Napoleone Orsini and his wife Margherita Palearia, Countess of Manoppello. The Orsini family came from Celestine III. , Nicholas III. and Benedict XIII. three popes and numerous cardinals.

As Apostolic Protonotary , Tommaso Orsini was raised to cardinal deacon of Santa Maria in Domnica around 1383 . Around 1384 he was the Pope's vicar for Rome . He retired from Rome on May 19, 1390 to his country estate near Rieti, where he died on July 10 of the same year. He was buried in the Vatican basilica .
